Why did lung cancer rates not increase until 1950′s if the?
Inthe early 1920s, shortly after world war 1, smoking became fashionable for men. Why didnt lung cancer start increasing untill 1950?
How many yrs do you have to smoke till you get lung cancer? I’ve been smoking for 25 yrs and so far so good. It probably takes 30 – 50 yrs to get it. Also, the first person to respond to your Q nailed it with the lack of research, etc.

Awww…Cancer babys are so sweet…My oldest is a Cancer baby. congratulations by the way.
Cancer babies are challenging at first. Tempermental, they can throw a tantrum longer than any child on the playground when you want to go home. As the sign is Cardinal, they use emotions to get their point across and sometimes to get their way. It’s a challenge for mom and dad to teach Cancer baby to control their emotions, so be patient in that regards.
So dig in, Mom…the terrible twos are really gonna be tough in that department.

“Race For Life” Belfast, May 2009, cancellations? (Cancer Research UK Charity Sponsered Walk)?
My friend is doing the “Race for Life” in Belfast, on May 31st, 2009. The race is registered online as full, and same on the race for life phone line. Is there any way to find out about those who are cancelling, or who can’t do the event, so that I can take their place? I really want to do this race with my friend. Any help/advice would be great?! 
Many thanks for your response, but its really only this exact event in Belfast I’m interested in, as I want to run it with my friend? Anyone even know anyone who registered and can’t do the event now? or Cancer Research UK employees who know a way round this?
